The role of the Coaching Director is to coordinate coaching in Glasgow and ensure all club members and coaches can access education, training and mentoring to develop confidence and capability
Responsibilities
In conjunction with the Treasurer and committee, set priorities and a budget for coach education to maximise organisation and delivery in Glasgow
Implement strategies to promote and develop coaching in Glasgow
To help increase and protect Touch Rugby participation levels
Organise and/or deliver a coach education programme in Glasgow to improve the confidence, content and quality of coaching across GTA clubs
Organise and appoint coaches for Glasgow Regional squads
Recognise coach commitment and wider impact in Glasgow through awards, payment and/or scholarships
Communicate effectively with orbiter Regional and National Coaches, investigating opportunities for developing coaches to observe at STA training weekends
Liaise with club head coaches to organise support, development and training
Chair/sit on a Sub-committee at the request of the Committee
